The SMNO nitric oxide gas detection sensor is a constant potential electrolytic sensor. Nitric oxide and oxygen undergo corresponding redox reactions on the working electrode and counter electrode, respectively, releasing charges and forming a current. The magnitude of the current is directly proportional to the nitric oxide concentration, and the concentration of nitric oxide can be determined by measuring the current magnitude.
