The S42ECO-1000 carbon monoxide gas detection sensor is a constant potential electrolytic type sensor. Carbon monoxide and oxygen undergo corresponding oxidation-reduction reactions on the working electrode and counter electrode, releasing charges to generate current. The magnitude of the current produced is directly proportional to the concentration of carbon monoxide. By measuring the current, the level of carbon monoxide concentration can be determined.
