The S4-ETO ethylene oxide gas detection sensor is a fixed-potential electrolytic sensor. Ethylene oxide and oxygen undergo corresponding redox reactions at the working electrode and counter electrode respectively, releasing charges to form an electric current. The magnitude of this current is directly proportional to the ethylene oxide concentration. By measuring the current level, the concentration of ethylene oxide can be determined.
