The H4CO carbon monoxide gas detection sensor is a constant potential electrolytic sensor. Carbon monoxide and oxygen undergo corresponding redox reactions on the working electrode and counter electrode, respectively, releasing charges and forming a current. The magnitude of the generated current is directly proportional to the carbon monoxide concentration. By measuring the magnitude of the current, the carbon monoxide concentration can be determined.
